LIDAR System
The RotorWorks LiDAR Platform consists of the Trimble Harrier Aerial Imaging & Laser Scanning System. The system is complete with a Trimble Harrier Laser Scanner that is capable of a repetition rate of up to 400 kHz with up to 266,000 laser measurements per second on the ground. Accompanying the laser scanner is a 60-megapixel Digital Camera. Both the scanner and the digital camera are directly georeferenced using an Applanix 510 IMU, which allows full synchronization between the LiDAR data and the digital imagery. The unique platform of The Trimble Harrier System contains precisely measure components, all mounted in a single, damper proof housing.
In a single pass, the helicopter based Trimble Harrier Laser Scanner can simultaneously acquire LiDAR and georeferenced imagery and produce point densities for transmission lines that range from 35 to 50 points per square meter.
The key benefits for our customers are data accuracy, flexibility, efficiency and affordability LiDAR can be applied in a multitude of applications requiring large scale aerial mapping to corridor mapping with most of them related to infrastructure development or maintenance.
